The short answer
Sunflow’s guide starts at R1,500 for up to 12 panels, R2,200 for 13–20 panels and R3,000 for 21–30 panels. Larger arrays receive a tailored quote. Final pricing depends on safe roof access, property height, layout and surface condition.
Key takeaways
- Panel count is the starting point, not the only factor.
- Single- and double-storey properties only.
- Heavy fouling and difficult access can change the scope.
- A clear quote is confirmed before booking.
Current Sunflow pricing guide
For eligible Cape Town properties, up to 12 panels start from R1,500, 13–20 panels from R2,200 and 21–30 panels from R3,000. These are starting prices for planning purposes. Larger residential and commercial systems are quoted around the actual array and access requirements.
Why panel count is only the beginning
Thirty panels arranged in one accessible bank can present a different job from the same number split across multiple roof faces. Roof pitch, ladder positions, obstructions, fragile finishes and the space around frames affect how the work must be planned.
How contamination affects the scope
A light dusty film is different from widespread baked bird fouling, sticky pollen or stubborn coastal residue. Photographs help identify likely conditions, although the final safe method remains subject to what the technician finds on site.
What the service does not include
The price covers the agreed surface-cleaning scope using professional Kärcher solar-panel cleaning equipment. It does not include electrical testing, repairs, panel removal, roof repairs or a guaranteed percentage increase in production. Buildings above two storeys are outside Sunflow’s current insurance scope.
